1982 Donruss
Using card stock thicker than the previous year, Donruss issued a 660-card set which included 633 numbered cards and seven unnumbered checklists. The cards were sold with puzzle pieces rather than gum as a result of a lawsuit by Topps. The puzzle pieces (three pieces on one card per pack) featured Babe Ruth. The first 26 cards of the set entitled Diamond Kings showcased the artwork of Dick Perez. Card fronts display the Donruss logo and the year of issue. Backs have black and blue ink on white stock and include the player's career highlights. - 2006 Standard Catalog of Baseball Cards, 15th Edition
